Join us on the Opening Night of Tribeca Film Festival for an exclusive event! The award winning documentary "Soldiers of Peace" directed by Tim Wise will show at Tribeca Cinemas, home to the Festival.

Ticket/Pass holders receive access to the screening that begins at 7:15pm; to be followed by a Q&A session with Producer Steve Killelea and reception at Tribeca Cinema's historic bar. The Q&A will be moderated by Lauren Kesner O'Brien, Founder of telegraph 21.

This event will benefit the work of the Institute of Economics of Peace and its quest to support the paradigm that peace is a pre-requisite for survival in the 21st century.

Featured Interviews: Michael Douglas (narration), Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Hans Blix, Sir Bob Geldof and Sir Richard Branson, amongst many others.

Michael Douglas narrates the award-winning documentary “Soldiers of Peace”, a journey through 14 countries that shows that peace is possible. The film portrays individuals who break the cycle of violence, promising positive systemic change and reconciliation. These portraits include the story a Christian Priest and Muslim Imam in Nigeria who transform rigid worldviews on religious conflict into a peaceful, supportive coexistence, and the experience of a young Kenyan woman who brings warring tribes together with the establishment of a soccer league, among others.
